Alabaster Sunday - Today!

Several times a year, we collect a loose change offering to assist the construction of missions focused buildings around the world. The offering receives its name from the story of the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet in anticipation of His sacrifice for us. Next Sunday, we will receive this annual offering once again.

Alabaster funds are to be used for new churches to:
• Purchase a property or church building
• Purchase or build a church parsonage
• Build a church building
• Conversion of a property into a church gathering space
• Meet initial costs for renting a church meeting space for a limited period

Alabaster funds may also be used to:
• Purchase or build missionary homes
• Purchase or build regional or field missions facilities
• Build or repurpose buildings on Bible college campuses

Women’s Event - Saturday, October 30th at Trinity Covenant Church
New River Church and Trinity Covenant Church are partnering to bring a women’s event to our community of united churches on Saturday, October 30th. The name of the event is “The Solid Place - Living Grounded Daily In What Is Most True About Who God Says You Are.” Featuring keynote speaker: Margot Starbuck. Faith Promise Sunday - Today!

This morning is Faith Promise Sunday here at MCN. Rev. Jon Scott And Rev. Dr. Margaret Scott from Faith Community Chapel, A Church of the Nazarene will be joining us to talk about missions and how God uses the resources that we help provide to spread the Good News of Jesus around the world. Click HERE to watch a brief video introduction to the Scotts where they share, among other things, how God called them both to become missionaries. There will be a picnic after service, so you can talk with them and ask questions.

Farewell to the Lights - Today!
Today is our last Sunday with Pastor Garry and Tonia Light and family. Pastor Garry will be heading to Laurel, Delaware to take on the lead Pastoral role at the Laurel Nazarene Church. We will be celebrating the 14 years they’ve been serving us at MCN after service with some cake and a reception in the lobby. If you’d like to contribute to a love offering for the Lights you can do so through online giving, or by leaving your gift in the offering boxes in the back of the sanctuary (noting that that the gift is for the Lights.)
